At 17 months old...

You  mostly just get the number of syllables correct, but it works.

"Free" hair - approximately 5" when straight.

Our first experience with "comb coils".  It was really cute, but required a lot of maintenance.  If it wasn't for sleeping, highchairs, car seats, and strollers, it wouldn't be so bad.

You charm everyone around you.

You know where your "junk" is.

Daddy has never been more proud.

You love taking showers with mommy, 

and mommy loves it when you cling to her so as not to drown.

You get a thrill from stepping off the fireplace hearth, 

which is a whopping 1.5 inches higher than the floor.

You're a fierce lion.

You have free reign of our church.

You basically own the place.

I'm pretty sure the "church" is okay with it.

Your palate can handle VERY strong flavors.

You enjoy spending time in the dog's crate.

You had your first playground experience and loved it, especially the slides.

Your mommy loves snuggling you to sleep for your afternoon nap each day.

Definitely time well spent.

You went "fishing" in the toilet for the first time.

You peed in the shower drain for the first time (after your shower).

You peed on the bathroom scale for the first time (after your shower).

You drowned the remote control.

You are constantly getting into the dog's water bowl and the recycling bag in the pantry, pushing the power button on the cable box, opening/closing the fireplace, unraveling toilet paper, emptying the Tupperware cupboard, grabbing condiment bottles out of the refrigerator, turning the printer on/off, and pounding on mommy's computer.

You also constantly make us laugh, smile, and realize what a blessing your life is.
