We are unofficially #10 on the wait list as of this afternoon. Whew. As exciting as this is, it also brings some feelings of sadness. What is our baby having to endure right now so that he/she can be a part of our family in a short period of time? What is our baby's birth mother/father having to endure right now so that their baby can be a part of our family? These are necessary steps toward this child coming home to us. So hard to swallow. I'm hoping that being smothered with unconditional love and stability and safety will erase all memories of whatever is happening right now.
Heavenly Father,
Please watch over our child tonight, where ever he/she is. Please comfort and sustain him/her. Please be with our child's biological mother and father and siblings tonight. Please give them discernment and wisdom and the resources that they need to provide for our baby and themselves. Please give them peace with the decisions that they are having to make, as hard as it may be. Please provide everything that they need - food, shelter, water, safety. Please help each of them to feel loved, even though they may feel alone. Please heal them where they are hurt or ill. Please provide the necessary medications if needed. Please watch over all the children in the care centers and the nannies who are caring for them day in and day out. I praise you Lord for choosing those people to love on our children before we can. Please give them the strength they need to get through each day. I praise you Lord for placing orphans in families and for calling us to this special task. Thank you for not calling the perfect, but for perfecting those that you call to carry out your work.
In Jesus' MIGHTY name,
Mommy
