Today has by far been the most emotional day for me. I am caught between the joy of the day and the excitement on the girls' faces and the overwhelming sadness because my baby boy is not here to celebrate with us. I long to hold him in my arms, to know that he
needs me, to see his eyes light up when he sees the lights, and see his feet kick at the wrapping paper around surrounding him.
I think about all this and the tears stream down my face and my chin quivers and I think...wow...how much must it hurt God for him to not have all of his children with him. How much must it break HIS heart to love His children so much, yet some of them do not know him as their Father. How much must He yearn to have them in His arms and to see their eyes light up when they know what an amazing light he himself is. How much would He love for all his children to know the gifts that he has in store for them??
My love for the son that I have not met is so deep and so wide and so real, yet I know that my Father loves Him even more than I do...he loves all of His children more than we can even imagine. I am so grateful to be adopted by Him and that He has allowed me the same experience and the same opportunity to know how amazing that love is.
Joy to the World , the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.
Joy to the World, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.
Merry Christmas!!! Praying for all of our little ones, that they would be loved and celebrated this holiday.
