What we know about you at 15 months old...

YOU'RE WALKING!!

about 25% of the time.

You started on Christmas Eve, got better on Christmas Day, and continue to improve daily!  

You can now show us your hair, eyes, ears, nose, teeth, belly, feet, and fingers!

You give "knuckles" (fist bumps).

You are starting to show more interest in your toys.  

Your favorite is the Lightening McQueen ride-on car that Great Grandma & Grandpa got you for your birthday.

You and mommy went to your first adoption playgroup.  

You could care less about the other kids, but enjoyed visiting with the other mommies and eating goldfish.

You refer to me (mommy) as "momma"!!  

You could say it from the very beginning, but you never associated it with anything until we were at the previously mentioned playgroup and I told everyone that you didn't "call" us anything.  

Way to prove me wrong kiddo!

You still enjoy spending time in the church nursery.  

Thank goodness, because you are so NOISY in church!

You have TWELVE teeth!  

I think we may be done for a moment.

You can now go up AND down the stairs.  

To get down, you slide, feet first, on your belly, laughing hysterically the whole way down.

We left you for the first time, with your sisters, at Grandma & Grandpa's house for an evening.

Everything was great until it was time for you to go to sleep.

Luckily your biggest sister was there to calm you down and get you to sleep.

This makes Mommy & Daddy's heart sad and joyful all at the same time.

We LOVE that you know "home" and "us".

You're starting to "show off" a bit by acting goofy and it's the funniest thing.

You fold your hands for our dinner prayer, then break them apart and rock side-to-side as hard as you can, tipping the chair.  It's been a long time since we've had a dinner prayer that wasn't interrupted by laughter.

When we say "Where's Ty?", you cover your eyes with your fists, then pull them away and say "There he is!"  

You say "all gone" and "all done".

You look SUPER handsome in a dress shirt and sweater vest.

You visited daddy at work for the first time!  

I'm pretty sure they're still talking about you.

You have now had three abnormal hearing tests.  Something about pressure in there.  We'll go again in three months.  We're not concerned because you seem to hear everything just fine and are learning to talk quickly.

You celebrated Jesus' birthday for the first time with your family! 

While it wasn't your first Christmas, it was your first Christmas WITH US, and that made it very special for our entire family.

You said "aaaaahhh" every time you came downstairs and saw the Christmas tree.

You liked looking at the Christmas lights in town.

You went to your first Christmas light parade.

You sat on Santa's lap for the first time.

You opened your first Christmas presents, although you were much more interested in the wrapping.

You met more family.

You went to your first Christmas Eve church service.

Contrary to what it may look like in this picture, I am NOT pregnant.  Yikes.  Lay off the Christmas cookies, lady!
