New Pictures and Health Report!

Oh my goodness...where does the time go?!  This has been such a crazy week!

On Tuesday, we not only got our court date, but we also got an updated health report and more recent pictures of Baby Ty!  What a glorious day!

His health report looks awesome!!  He still seems to be a little peanut, based on measurements, but pictures show a chubby-faced, double-chinned charmer!  He "laughs during play, rolls from front to back, and bears same weight on feet."  "He is in a good condition, sucking well appropriate formula milk and sleeping comfortably."  What more could a momma ask for?

So, as for the pictures.

A gasp literally came out of our mouths.

There are six different poses.  Three of them are from chest up, one is full body, and two are just head shots from inside a blanket.  For now, I'm going to focus on the first four.

He is laying on the same yellow and white pinstripe bedding, but now I can see that that is just a pillow.  The sheet is actually made up of pastel squares, some blue and white plaid, and every other one pink with a caricature of a baby animal inside - elephant, giraffe, lion.  His skin is still a gorgeous milk chocolate and flawless.  Not.a.single.flaw.  His lips are parted in all of the pictures, and his tongue is showing.  (hee hee) Honestly, I'm not sure if he can fully close his mouth!  It's adorable.  His features are still all just perfect, and we knew it was him immediately by the HUGE brown eyes.  He still seems to be startled by the camera, which makes his eyes even bigger.  Awesomeness.  The biggest change?  HE HAS HAIR!!  Beautiful short, loose curls sticking out all over the place!  Can't wait to get my hands on it!  The full body shot is our first of this kind.  His sweet little bare feet look like they might take after daddy's - FLAT, but delicious nonetheless.  He is wearing red and white pin-stripped cotton pants that look like they might be from Baby Gap.  He is also wearing a onesie, light yellow with white trim, that is not buttoned at the bottom.  Over the onesie he is wearing a little pale blue sweater with large ribbing and four snaps down the front.  The snaps are painted white, but the paint is wearing off.  It looks like there is pink detail at the cuff, and there is a little yellow bear holding a blue ball on the left side of his chest.  This sweater is seriously stained at the top by something orangeish - possibly mango?  He is laying flat on his back with his head on the pillow and has a very concerned look on his face.

So, there are two other pictures as well.  I'm not going to go into too much detail about these pictures because...well...quite honestly...we're not sure that they are him.  I know...WHAT?  The general consensus among friends and family is that this is not our Ty.  The sweet baby in these two pictures is wrapped in a blue fuzzy blanket, quite obviously has a cold, is not feeling well, and just does not look like our son!!  He is ADORABLE, don't get me wrong, but his face shape seems very different (possibly the camera angle?), his eyelashes are much longer, and he doesn't have the same sweet bulge under his eyes that our Ty does.  We could be totally wrong (we are waiting for confirmation from our agency), but we really don't feel like this is the same baby.  It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but when it comes to putting pictures in a baby album and sharing them with his birth mom...it kinda is a big deal.  So, we'll just have to wait and see.

So...that's pretty much it.  It was so fun to get these new pictures and update on the same day we heard about our court date.  Just a little something to tide us over until we hop on that plane in 27 DAYS!!

ADDENDUM: It has been confirmed - the baby in the blue blanket is NOT our son.  Apparently there was a little mix-up.  I'm so glad I asked, and I love that we already recognize who is and who is NOT our son!
